Overheat Area: The King's Flame will lean forward as though spewing onto the ground. After a short delay, a very wide area will begin to burn, covering a large amount of the arena. As soon as you see him start this attack animation, go to the edge of the arena.
Corkscrew: The King's Flame will begin charging his drills before running forward at you, dealing high damage. Dodge to the side and follow him to get some hits in while he recovers.
Punch: Using his hammer arm, The King's Flame can deliver melee punches and slams that can be avoided most effectively by dodging backwards for each hit.
Spin: The King's Flame can begin spinning, delivering several hits. He can use this while standing still, or while charging forward. Back away a little to avoid the damage and wait until he is done moving before continuing your assault.
Oil Bomb: The King's Flame can spew out balls of oil from his gun, which will slow you and cause you to take more damage from fire, as well as increase ignition rate.
Fire Bomb: The King's Flame can shoot fire bombs from his gun which deal high damage. These deal more damage if you have been hit from the oil bombs, which he almost always does right before this attack. Dodge this and get close to him.
Flame thrower: The King's Flame can shoot a flamethrower either directly ahead, in an arc, or while spinning. Dodge to the side and keep up the assault, or back away out of his target area.
Fury Attack: Any of The King's Flame's melee attacks and spinning attacks can be charged to become a fury attack, which can't be blocked and deals a lot more damage. Back away out of range or perfect guard.
How to Beat
The King's Flame Fuoco is, for many, the first true challenge in The Lies of P that will wall many players. However, there is a strategy that will make the King's Flame Fuoco quite an easy fight.
All you have to do is keep strafing to your right, staying close to the King's Flame Fuoco's left leg. That's your target. Most of the King's Flame's attacks will miss you if you keep strafing this way, and as long as you are locked on, you can respond to him turning to attack by performing a dash to speed up your strafing.
If the King's Flame Fuoco bends forward, that is your time to retreat. You must run as far away as possible to avoid the very wide area of fire damage that will quickly apply burning. That is the main threat with this strategy, but it is easily avoided with attention to detail.
The King's Flame Fuoco will also regularly perform spinning attacks to attempt to interrupt your strafing or to create distance from you. Just step back for a moment, reposition and continue as needed.
It is strongly recommended to use weapons with Electric Blitz in this fight. the Electric Coil Stick is a great option for this, and will deal a lot of damage.
