Stamina Necromancer PvP Build

Stamina Necromancers take some practise to master in The Elder Scrolls Online PvP modes. However, these tanky juggernauts can absolutely demolish whole groups of enemies with the right approach and build! They have amazing damage output and their survivability is second to none, making them a great front-line combatant in ESO.

Gear Sets

ESO best sets for Stamina Necromancer PvP build

Frenzied Momentum: This weapon is perfect for stacking damage and lining up a burst with your other skills. If you time this right with Blighted Blastbones, you will deal a tremendous burst of damage that is difficult to recover from.

Wretched Vitality: Stamina Necromancers can be expensive to run resource-wise. With Wretched Vitality, that is no longer an issue, allowing you to manage both your Magicka and Stamina with ease.

Sea-Serpent's Coil: Your main source of damage on this build, the Sea-Serpent's Coil is capable of carrying your offensive potential all on its own. This is a mythic item and can be obtained by Scrying.

Rallying Cry: This set is a great source of damage and defence, granting both weapon damage and critical resistance when you critically heal. You can get this from gear vendors in Cyrodiil.

Armor of the Trainee/Magma Incarnate: Depending on whether you need a small boost to resource management or a bit more health, you can use Magma Incarnate or Armor of the Trainee respectively. Each of these gives their bonus with just one item.

Skills

Crushing Weapon: Your primary spammable and a great source of Major Breach, reducing enemy resistances. Line this up to hit with Frenzied Momentum right before Blighted Blastbones connects and follow up with Ruinous Scythe and Dawnbreaker for a massive burst.

Blighted Blastbones: A powerful delayed hit that works perfectly for combining attacks into a massive burst of damage.

Ruinous Scythe: Deals damage and heals you per enemy hit. Also applies the Hemorrhaging status effect, which in turn applies Minor Mangle, reducing enemy max health. Any enemy hit is set off balance.

Executioner: The preferred choice of execute that can be used once the enemy gets to around 30% health to finish them off.

Forward Momentum: Activate Frenzied Momentum using this skill as well as a valuable damage buff and immunity to snares and immobilizations.

Dawnbreaker of Smiting: Your primary offensive ultimate to be used after Crushing Weapon, preferably with Blastbones and Ruinous Scythe as well.

Spirit Guardian: A great defensive ability that keeps the Undead Confederate passive active, grants healing over time, and 10% damage mitigation.

Summoner's Armor: Further resistances in the form of Major Resolve, and provides reduced cost to Spirit Guardian and Blighted Blastbones.

Blinding Flare: This helps to deal with Nightblades, but is mostly here for the passive Major Protection we get for having it slotted, boosting survivability.

Resistant Flesh: A very useful but expensive Magicka-costing burst-heal ability that also provides additional resistances. Use this sparingly.

Resolving Vigor: This is your main source of healing, and also provides Minor Resolve, boosting your resistances even further.

Temporal Guard: Slotting this gives Minor Protection at all times for a further 5% damage mitigation. It can also be used in a tricky situation to save you.

Champion Points

Master at Arms: Direct damage is one of the most common types in PvP, and is often where the ability to burst down your opponents lies, making this a valuable buff.

Biting Aura: This class in particular really benefits from a buff to area damage, making this a smart choice for increasing your burst damage potential, so make sure you always have it slotted.

Ironclad: Since direct damage is so common, it is important to also defend against it. That is where Ironclad comes in, boosting your mitigation against this damage type.

Resilience: No matter what the meta is running, critical damage will always be a big part of what many players build around in PvP. It is important to defend against that, and Resilience will help you there in combination with Impenetrable armour pieces.

Boundless Vitality: Every bit of health makes a difference, especially in some of the tougher content that The Elder Scrolls Online has to offer. This will help you bump yours up a little more, increasing your survivability.

Slippery: In PvP, pinning your opponent down with CC before you burst them down is important. This will prevent that from happening to you so easily, making it an important addition.

Rejuvenation: Recoveries are important for every role. For healers, it is essential for keeping your group alive, for tanks, it is the source of most of your buffs and debuffs, for DPS, you can't deal damage with no fuel, and in PvP, no resources means death.

Celerity: Extra movement speed is an amazing boost in all content. In PvE, it helps massively with avoiding nasty mechanics, and in PvP, it allows you to run circles around your opponents.

Mundus Stone

Elder Scrolls Online Lover Penetration Mundus Stone

The best Mundus Stone to use on this build is the Lover for significantly better Penetration. The Lover gives the best overall boost to damage output on average against players, especially since players in PvP tend to run a lot of resistance. However, if you need more recovery, consider the Serpent instead.

Food Buff

ESO Artaeum Takeaway Broth food buff

The Artaeum Takeaway Broth offers an excellent combination of Max Health, Max Stamina, Health Recovery and Stamina Recovery, making it perfect for Stamina-oriented PvP characters. However, if you can't keep up with its hefty cost, you can go with the Dubious Camoran Throne for similar stats, but no Health Recovery.

Race

Dark Elf best race for ESO stamina PvP builds

My preferred race to run on this build is a Dark Elf (Dunmer) for their superior overall damage. However, if you wish, you can switch to a Wood Elf for higher overall sustain, Nord for more damage resistance, or Orc for balanced stats, higher damage and speed.

Potion

ESO Essence of Immovability with Health Stamina Major Fortitude and Major Endurance

PvP builds generally work best when running Immovability potions, which grants a lengthy immunity to snares, immobilizations and stuns. It's good to carry some potions to reveal invisibility as well to counter Nightblades.

Mortality

Elder Scrolls Online main characters from Bethesda and Zenimax, showing the Nord Warrior, Elf Sorceress and Breton Nightblade

Stamina Necromancer class passives include an increase to max health and an increase to damage over time power, both of which carry over into a Werewolf transformation, making them powerful PvP werewolves.

Stamina Necromancers are often slow, heavy hitters with high resistance, and the Undeath passive from Vampirism can help with that a lot, making them powerful PvP Vampires as well. Access to Mist Form is almost essential for good performance on a PvP Stamina Necromancer.
