Stamina Necromancer DPS Build

Stamina Necromancer DPS builds are far more potent than many other stamina-based DPS builds in The Elder Scrolls Online. They are capable of providing very powerful sustained damage on top of strong debuffs to boot, and can fight very effectively both in close quarters and from range. Stamina Necromancer bow builds in particular are the strongest of their kind in ESO!

Gear Sets

ESO best sets for Stamina Necromancer DPS build

Blackrose Bow: This is an unconventional one that works exceptionally well on a Stamina Necromancer, helping to achieve some of the highest overall DPS in the game. You can get this from Blackrose Prison. If you can't get the perfected version, the normal one will do.

Maelstrom Bow: Again, the perfected version is ideal, but the normal one will do fine. You can get this from Maelstrom Arena, and it really does add a ton of damage.

Perfected Arms of Relequen: This is one of the best DPS sets in the game, and it really lived up to its name on this build. You can get this from Cloudrest, but if you can't manage trials yet, then Pillar of Nirn from Falkreath Hold will work just fine.

Azureblight Reaper: A surprisingly potent set that works perfectly with this build, quickly building up stacks of Azureblight towards its burst.

Skills

Venom Skull: Venom Skull gets a lot of flack in the ESO community, which is a shame because it is a powerful spammable ability that can apply the Poisoned status effect, and even gets boosted every third cast, with any other Necromancer ability counting towards that.

Blighted Blastbones: This is the workhorse of your DPS, and should be cast every third skill. If you are fighting from range, which you should be, you may need to cast this every fourth skill to account for its travel time.

Magnum Shot: With the Blackrose Bow, this turns into an incredibly powerful damage over time ability. With some practise, you will learn the sweet spot distance from your enemy to get the maximum duration here.

Camouflaged Hunter: Keeping Major Savagery up at all times is a great bonus, but if you are managing that with your potions just fine, switch this to another DoT.

Acid Spray: We combine this with the natural rhythm that comes with Blastbones, allowing great uptime on a very potent poison damage over time effect.

Dawnbreaker of Smiting: You aren't actually going to use this ultimate. Instead, it is just slotted to activate the Slayer Fighter's Guild passive for more raw damage.

Endless Hail: With the Maelstrom Bow, this is one of the best sources of damage you can get. Just be sure not to reactivate it too early, or you will lose the escalating damage ticks.

Skeletal Archer: Again, this guy deals more damage with each hit, so don't resummon him too early or you will lose out on some higher damage ticks.

Degeneration: By using this and Camouflaged Hunter, we don't need to run weapon power potions. If you prefer to get these buffs from potions, switch this to Poison Injection.

Detonating Siphon: Try to keep this up at all times. That shouldn't be too challenging since your Blastbones provides all the corpses you need.

Avid Boneyard: This morph is being suggested for parse test purposes, but if you are in a group that is staying on top of activating synergies, use the other morph. It will provide about the same damage, but also provides Major Breach. This morph just allows you to use your own synergy.

Glacial Colossus: This is not the highest damaging ultimate in its own right, although its damage is nonetheless respectable. We instead use this to get excellent uptime on the Major Vulnerability debuff, which is relatively rare and incredibly powerful, boosting the damage output of your group massively. If that isn't needed, go with Shooting Star.

Champion Points

Fighting Finesse: A welcome addition to your critical damage output that will help you get up to the 125% crit damage cap. If you are exceeding this cap in your group, choose a different perk like Wrathful Strikes.

Thaumaturge: Damage in The Elder Scrolls Online is measured in how much damage you do per second over the duration of a fight, and stacking damage over time effects is the way to increase this. Thaumaturge will boost that damage type.

Master at Arms: An essential boost to one of the primary damage types that all DPS use - direct damage. This is important on almost any DPS build in ESO.

Biting Aura: An important addition to this build that will boost the power of your area abilities substantially, which is where this class really shines.

Boundless Vitality: Every bit of health makes a difference, especially in some of the tougher content that The Elder Scrolls Online has to offer. This will help you bump yours up a little more, increasing your survivability.

Bloody Renewal: A powerful buff that allows you to restore stamina every time you slay an enemy. This shines best in boss fights with adds, or when facing many non-boss enemies.

Rejuvenation: Recoveries are important for every role. For healers, it is essential for keeping your group alive, for tanks, it is the source of most of your buffs and debuffs, for DPS, you can't deal damage with no fuel, and in PvP, no resources means death.

Celerity: Extra movement speed is an amazing boost in all content. In PvE, it helps massively with avoiding nasty mechanics, and in PvP, it allows you to run circles around your opponents.

Mundus Stone

Elder Scrolls Online Thief Mundus Stone

The go-to Mundus Stone for any DPS is the Thief. It is very rare that you will reach the optimal critical chance numbers without the Thief unless you are specifically building for it, which isn't ideal. a

Food Buff

ESO Lava Foot Soup and Saltrice food buff

The Lava Foot Soup and Saltrice food buff is the absolute best option for stamina DPS across all classes, offering the best spread of Max Stamina and Stamina Recovery. However, if you are in content that needs more Max Health, try the Dubious Camoran Throne or Artaeum Takeaway Broth instead.

Race

Dark Elf best race for ESO Stamina DPS Builds

The best race to use for this build is a Dark Elf (Dunmer). If you struggle to reach the crit damage cap of 125%, then a Khajiit is your best option instead.

Potion

ESO Heroism Potions giving Minor Heroism Stamina Health Major Fortitude and Major Endurance

Having built-in access to Major Brutality and Major Savagery means you don't need to run weapon power potions. Instead, you should run Heroism potions, granting Minor Heroism along with Magicka and Stamina return for a lengthy duration.

Mortality

Elder Scrolls Online main characters from Bethesda and Zenimax, showing the Nord Warrior, Elf Sorceress and Breton Nightblade

Most Stamina DPS characters already have to work extra hard on survivability, and being susceptible to fire damage on top of high skill cost will make you a liability. Therefore, Vampirism is not recommended, and a werewolf offers no benefit. Stick to being a Mortal.
