Stamina Dragonknight PvP Build

Stamina Dragonknight PvP builds are a classic in The Elder Scrolls Online. They have remained incredibly powerful over the years with access to incredibly powerful buffs and debuffs, high sustained and burst damage, great healing options and a ton of bonus mechanics for remaining tanky and difficult to take down.

Gear Sets

ESO best sets for Stamina Dragonknight PvP build

Frenzied Momentum: This weapon can be found in Vateshran Hollows, and allows you to build up damage before unleashing a big burst of damage in an area, which synergizes perfectly with Take Flight.

Wretched Vitality: This is a crafted set that adds a ton of both Magicka and Stamina recovery when you buff yourself, which you should be doing regularly anyway. Maintaining both of your resources is essential for survival for any Dragonknight.

Clever Alchemist: Dragonknights are designed in a way that synergizes perfectly with this set. By drinking a potion, you can get lengthy access to a massive amount of extra damage, meaning you can time your combo perfectly to delete your opponent. This set is craftable.

Sea-Serpent's Coil: For an even more dramatic increase to your damage output, this mythic item does the trick better than anything else. However, if the snare is too much for you, consider the Markyn Ring of Majesty instead. Both of these are mythic items obtainable through scrying.

Armor of the Trainee: With one slot available, the Armor of the Trainee is perfect. This will give you a hefty boost to your health with just one piece slotted, which is a great boost to overall survivability.

Skills

Molten Whip: An easy to use spammable that gains bonus damage when you cast other Ardent Flame abilities first. When Frenzied Momentum is ready, cast Venomous Claw, Noxious Breath, Fossilize, medium attack into Molten Whip and hit Take Flight.

Noxious Breath: A potent damage over time effect that also applies Major Breach, reducing the enemy's resistances by a lot.

Whirling Blades: This is your execute ability to be used when the opponent is below 30% health.

Fossilize: Use this to stun and immobilize your opponent as you deliver your burst damage combo.

Venomous Claw: A potent damage over time effect that escalates over its duration. Be sure to open combat with this and Noxious Breath wherever possible.

Take Flight: Your main offensive ultimate that delivers a lot of damage instantly. You can use Ferocious Leap for a more defensive option if you prefer.

Volatile Armor: Your source of Major Resolve, granting you a nice damage resistance boost to help your survivability.

Forward Momentum: This is how you activate the Frenzied Momentum weapon, and also grants you additional weapon damage from Major Brutality along with immunity to snares and immobilizations.

Coagulating Blood: A fantastic burst heal that costs Magicka, so make sure your Magicka recovery is acceptable enough that this can save you in a tricky situation.

Resolving Vigor: Your main source of healing over time that also provides you with Minor Resolve for an additional damage resistance boost.

Blinding Flare: Having this available will help you deal with pesky Nightblades. Having it slotted gives you access to Major Protection for 10% extra damage mitigation, which is a lot and ignores enemy penetration.

Corrosive Armor: If you are dealing with a particularly tanky opponent, or if you are in trouble, use this ultimate instead of Take Flight and then apply as much pressure to your opponent as possible while it lasts.

Champion Points

Thaumaturge: This class shines best with damage over time abilities, and Thaumaturge will help with buffing that further. For most abilities that you will be using, Thaumaturge and Biting Aura will stack.

Master at Arms: It is important on this class to deliver powerful direct damage in combination with sustained damage over time, so Master at Arms is a smart choice.

Ironclad: Since direct damage is so common, it is important to also defend against it. That is where Ironclad comes in, boosting your mitigation against this damage type.

Resilience: No matter what the meta is running, critical damage will always be a big part of what many players build around in PvP. It is important to defend against that, and Resilience will help you there in combination with Impenetrable armour pieces.

Boundless Vitality: Every bit of health makes a difference, especially in some of the tougher content that The Elder Scrolls Online has to offer. This will help you bump yours up a little more, increasing your survivability.

Slippery: In PvP, pinning your opponent down with CC before you burst them down is important. This will prevent that from happening to you so easily, making it an important addition.

Rejuvenation: Recoveries are important for every role. For healers, it is essential for keeping your group alive, for tanks, it is the source of most of your buffs and debuffs, for DPS, you can't deal damage with no fuel, and in PvP, no resources means death.

Celerity: Extra movement speed is an amazing boost in all content. In PvE, it helps massively with avoiding nasty mechanics, and in PvP, it allows you to run circles around your opponents.

Mundus Stone

Elder Scrolls Online Lover Penetration Mundus Stone

The best Mundus Stone to use on this build is the Lover for significantly better Penetration. The Lover gives the best overall boost to damage output on average against players, especially since players in PvP tend to run a lot of resistance. However, if you need more recovery, consider the Serpent instead.

Food Buff

ESO Artaeum Takeaway Broth food buff

The Artaeum Takeaway Broth offers an excellent combination of Max Health, Max Stamina, Health Recovery and Stamina Recovery, making it perfect for Stamina-oriented PvP characters. However, if you can't keep up with its hefty cost, you can go with the Dubious Camoran Throne for similar stats, but no Health Recovery.

Race

Dark Elf best race for ESO stamina PvP builds

My preferred race to run on this build is a Dark Elf (Dunmer) for their superior overall damage. However, if you wish, you can switch to a Wood Elf for higher overall sustain, Nord for more damage resistance, or Orc for balanced stats, higher damage and speed.

Potion

ESO Essence of Immovability with Health Stamina Major Fortitude and Major Endurance

PvP builds generally work best when running Immovability potions, which grants a lengthy immunity to snares, immobilizations and stuns. It's good to carry some potions to reveal invisibility as well to counter Nightblades.

Mortality

Elder Scrolls Online main characters from Bethesda and Zenimax, showing the Nord Warrior, Elf Sorceress and Breton Nightblade

Stamina Dragonknights already have access to a ton of defensive tools that surpass those of other classes, and also have access to great burst damage as well. Vampirism would be a hindrance, and nothing useful carries over into Werewolf form, meaning we recommend staying as a Mortal for this build.
