Sorcerer Healer Build

Sorcerer healer builds are adepts at aiding the tank in battlefield control while simultaneously providing powerful healing to the whole group. While they may be slightly lacking in terms of buff and debuff provision, they make up for this in healing potency and survivability, making them viable in any content.

Gear Sets

ESO best sets for Sorcerer healer build

Pillager's Profit: One of the best sets in the game which grants ultimate to your entire team by the shedload. This will help them pump out the damage all the better! You can get this from Dreadsail Reef.

Stone-Talker's Oath: Combines perfectly with our other sets. This set allows you to provide a ton of resources back to your entire group, which in any content is great, but in trials particularly adds up to a lot.

Symphony of Blades: This is another favourite of healers across all classes, granting a ton of resources to your group with a per-target cooldown, making it incredibly efficient. You can get this from Depths of Malatar.

Perfected Grand Rejuvenation: Another great tool for group sustain, this weapon will allow you to provide both Magicka and Stamina to any ally caught within the area of effect, boosting their performance a lot.

Skills

Combat Prayer: Using this provides Minor Berserk and Minor Resolve to any ally hit, boosting their resistances, and provides a nice area burst heal.

Radiating Regeneration: A great cast and forget skill that allows you to passively heal allies without having to target them directly.

Illustrious Healing: Used for area healing over time. Try to aim this at the bulk of your allies to maximise the resource return from the staff you use.

Summon Twilight Matriarch: This serves as a powerful burst heal for you and a nearby ally.

Vibrant Shroud: In addition to providing a potent heal in a large area, Vibrant Shroud will also effect allies with Minor Vitality to boost healing power, and inflict enemies with Major Maim for a lengthy duration, reducing their damage done.

Summon Charged Storm Atronach: In addition to providing a powerful stun and some extra damage in an area, this will allow allies to activate a synergy to grant Major Berserk to allies in the area, increasing their damage output by 10%. The atronach's attacks apply Concussion to all enemies.

Elemental Blockade: A helpful skill that applies a projectile shield to allies along with snares, immobilizations, Chilled and Brittle to enemies.

Elemental Susceptibility: This will apply Major Breach to the target while also periodically inflicting Burned, Concussed and Chilled to them over the duration.

Power Surge: An excellent source of passive healing that will allow you to heal allies every time you critically heal, and also provides Major Sorcery, boosting your healing power.

Energy Orb: This is the tool you use to provide resources back to your team. Aim it at the tank, and any allie that activates the synergy will gain resources back.

Summon Twilight Matriarch: This serves as a powerful burst heal for you and a nearby ally.

Reviving Barrier: If your team is in trouble, pop this skill to instantly apply a massive shield to everyone, saving them from a tricky situation or allowing them to power through tough mechanics.

Champion Points

Soothing Tide: This perk grants a substantial power boost to your area healing abilities, allowing you to strategically place healing area spells where they are needed most.

Swift Renewal: Healing over time abilities are some of the most common you will use on a healer, and this will boost their healing power substantially.

Hope Infusion: The ability to grant Minor Heroism to allies is a very useful boon to you and your group. Every time you heal an ally below 50% health, you will grant them Minor Heroism for one second per 300 Magicka Recovery that you have.

Enlivening Overflow: Similar to Hope Infusion, you can grant resource recovery to your allies based on how high your Max Magicka is, up to 150.

Boundless Vitality: Every bit of health makes a difference, especially in some of the tougher content that The Elder Scrolls Online has to offer. This will help you bump yours up a little more, increasing your survivability.

Fortified: Similar to Boundless Vitality, one can never have enough resistances, and this will add a little extra to boost your survivability so that you can focus more on the task at hand.

Rejuvenation: Recoveries are important for every role. For healers, it is essential for keeping your group alive, for tanks, it is the source of most of your buffs and debuffs, for DPS, you can't deal damage with no fuel, and in PvP, no resources means death.

Celerity: Extra movement speed is an amazing boost in all content. In PvE, it helps massively with avoiding nasty mechanics, and in PvP, it allows you to run circles around your opponents.

Mundus Stone

Elder Scrolls Online Thief Mundus Stone

The best Mundus Stone to use on this build is the Thief. Good healers are adepts at stacking up plenty of healing over time so they can focus on individual targets or on buffing instead, and critically healing boosts healing power massively. However, if you have enough critical chance, use the Mage for more max Magicka, or Atronach if you need more recovery.

Food Buff

ESO Ghastly Eye Bowls food buff

The Ghastly Eye Bowls food buff is typically the best option for any PvE Magicka character. It offers the best combination of Max Magicka and Magicka Recovery. If you are in content that requires higher health, you can use the Withmother's Potent Brew or Clockwork Citrus Filet if you prefer.

Race

Breton best race for ESO Healer builds

The best race to use for this build is a Breton. This is the best race in ESO for Magicka sustain, but the Argonian is also a good option.

Potion

ESO Spell Power Potions with Major Sorcery Major Prophecy and Magicka

Spell power potions will offer this build access to the valuable Major Sorcery and Major Prophecy buffs, both of which will boost your healing power by a lot. You also get the much needed Magicka return, and a long boost to your Max Magicka.

Mortality

Elder Scrolls Online main characters from Bethesda and Zenimax, showing the Nord Warrior, Elf Sorceress and Breton Nightblade

The benefits of being a Vampire or Werewolf are not worth the drawbacks on this build. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that you remain a Mortal with this build to ensure you don't run into issues.

Notes

Sorcerer healers have been seldom seen, but many updates have actually put them in a pretty good place for the role. They can provide Minor Intellect and Minor Endurance to the group through Regenerative Ward, Minor Prophecy any time a Dark Magic ability is used and Minor Vitality and Major Maim through Shattering Spines. They can even provide the group with Major Berserk through the Summon Storm Atronach ultimate, and ultimates are much cheaper due to the Power Stone passive.

Along with these buffs comes an excellent and diverse toolkit, allowing Sorcerers to immobilize and stun their opponents regularly, as well as providing powerful shields to allies with the Daedric Refuge ability.

Sorcerer healers should not be overlooked - they hold up surprisingly well against other classes in the role.
