The Godskin Duo is considered to be one of the most difficult fights in the game. This is mostly because players attempt to fight them head-on, which is incredibly challenging. Both the Godskin Noble and Godskin Apostle are incredibly mobile, deal very high damage and attack in fast combos that are tricky to avoid, but their ranged potential is limited, and they have many weaknesses.

By exploiting those weaknesses, we can actually make short work of the Godskin Duo, but it takes a little preparation. You are going to need a source of Sleep, which comes in the form of Sleep Pots, St. Trina's Arrows, St. Trina's Sword and St. Trina's Torch. These all have the ability to inflict Sleep, incapacitating an enemy for a long period of time, and both the Godskin Noble and Godskin Apostle are susceptible to this.

So, put them to sleep. Once you have done this, you can make use of the Poison Mist incantation, which costs only 12 Faith. This will not wake them up when you use it or when the Poison status effect applies, so you can do this in relative peace.

Once this is active, you can then speed up the process by applying Scarlet Rot. You can do this using either Rot Pots, Rotbone Arrows, the Antspur Rapier, or the Rot Breath incantation. All of these sources will wake up the enemy when applied, so be careful and be prepared to put them back to sleep.

Once this is done, you can choose to wait or contend with an individual opponent. Using Bleed and Frostbite infused weapons will decimate their health easily, and keeping one asleep will allow you to fight just one of them with relative ease.

Be warned that the Godskin Duo boss uses one overall health bar that is separate to the individual health bars of the Godskin Apostle and Godskin Noble. It is much larger, and will persist after the enemies have been defeated. If you defeat one of them, the other will eventually resummon them, and if you defeat both of them, they will automatically resummon after a while. This will keep happening until the main health bar is depleted.

Godskin Apostle:

Black Fireball: The Godskin Apostle will summon a black fireball in his hand and hurl it at you after a moment. It deals pretty high damage and applied a damage over time effect as well. He will almost always use this when you try to heal, and often when you cast a spell.

Jump Slash: The Godskin Apostle will quickly jump into the air and slam down, slashing at you swiftly. Dodge backwards to avoid this and then punish with a hit.

Hook Stab: The Godskin Apostle will stab forward with one end of his weapon, and then hook round with the other end, dealing high damage with both hits. The second part of this hit has a surprisingly wide range and decent reach. Dodge backwards rather than to the side.

Spinwheel: The Godskin Apostle will spin his weapon in front of him, dealing incredibly high damage. If you manage to dodge forwards and to the side of the Godskin Apostle, you will get a lot of time to get hits in here.

Slash Combo: The Godskin Apostle will perform melee combos of stabs and slashes that come out fast and deal high damage. Keep your distance from him to stay out of range of these attacks.

Spinwheel Stretch:Similar to the Spinwheel attack, but the Godskin will stretch his body, propelling his top half forward to cover high range. Dodging backwards is not effective, but dodging forward will give you a lot of time to get hits in on his legs.

Stretch Sweep: The Godskin Apostle will stretch his body upwards and slam his weapon a good distance in front of him. He will then pull his legs to rejoin his body, and perform a wide sweep around his new location. Dodge forward for the first hit and get some damage on his legs. At this point, you should be out of range of the sweep.

Black Flame Tornado:The Godskin Apostle will stand in place and spin his weapon, creating black flames in a circle around him. Each spin will cause another circle of flames to erupt in a wider and wider circle. Keep your distance and start dodging back when you see this attack coming.

Black Flame Stretch:The Godskin Apostle will stretch his body and swing the top half in a circle around his legs, dealing high damage from the sweeping attack and more damage from the black flames that erupt along his trajectory.

Godskin Noble:

Thrust Combo: The Godskin Noble will raise his sword before delivering many, very fast thrusting attacks, ending with a particularly long-reaching one. Do not be in range when the Godskin Noble performs this attack, as it has good tracking and will kill you quickly.

Stomp: The Godskin Noble will stamp down twice, creating a small shockwave of damage at the point of impact. Don't be too close, but if you are, dodge back a few times when you see this coming.

Black Fireball: The Godskin Noble will summon flames in his hand before hurling them at the player, dealing high damage and damage over time. This is easy to avoid, and can even be punished if you are close enough by dodging forward and getting a hit in.

Shove: The Godskin Noble will thrust out his stomach with little to no warning. This does no damage, but does stagger you. In phase 2, he will do a stronger version of this that will do a little a damage, but not much.

Stab Slash Combo: The Godskin Noble will thrust with his sword with very little warning, followed by a swift swipe from one side to the other. Best to not be in range of this, but if you are, dodge backwards.

Stab Slap Combo: The Godskin Noble will perform a swift thrust with his Stitcher, followed by a swiping slap from his left hand. Try not to be in range of this, but if you are, dodge backwards.

Spin: In phase 2, the Godskin Noble will puff his body up before starting a prolonged rolling attack that deals very high damage. This is easy to avoid by standing behind one of the pillars in the room.

Slam: In phase 2, the Godskin Noble will puff his body up before rising into the air and, after a delay, he will slam down, creating a wide shockwave. When you see him beginning this attack, sprint backwards to avoid all damage.

Black Flame Pillars: The Godskin Noble will lower his hand and then raise it, encircling himself with pillars of black flame. These deal high damage and prevent melee attack for a time, but are easily avoided.
