Welcome to the Warfarer Vocation for Dragon's Dogma 2. Vocations are a very important factor that will determine the skills and weapons available to your character, influencing your overall approach to combat situations in Dragon's Dogma 2. Some Vocations and unique abilities can be unlocked by gaining the favour of Maisters. These are masters of their respective Vocations, and can be found in various locations around the world.

How to Use Effectively

The Warfarer is best used as a versatile and dynamic combatant capable of approaching different combat scenarios in a variety of different ways. By learning the weaknesses of the many different enemies you will come up against, you can change your weapons and skills to have the strongest advantage over them, more than compensating for the lower stats that the Warfarer has compared to other Vocations.

Weapon Skills

The Warfarer can use weapon skills from all other Vocations, depending on what the player has unlocked and slotted, along with what weapons are equipped. This allows for more overall versatility. Click below to see the weapon skills of each Vocation.

Core Skills

The Warfarer can use Core Skills from any of the other Vocations, albeit with lower overall base stats, resulting in lower per-skill-use effectiveness, but much higher flexibility. To view the specific skills of each Vocation, click below.

The Warfarer Vocation is an interesting addition to Dragon's Dogma 2 that allows the player to make use of any weapon and any class skill. This allows for the most versatility that can be accomplished in the game, but comes at a cost. The Warfarer will have lower base stats, meaning they will need to be dynamic in their approach to each combat scenario in a way that only they can be in order to match the combat potential of other, more specific classes.

In order to use the Warfarer effectively, you should make sure you have access to a wide range of skills and know what kind of combat situations you can expect. For example, if you are going to tackle a nest of Silurians, you know to switch around your combat skills to include ice type damage, which stops them in their tracks. Alternatively, go for heavy melee hits against their tails, which will incapacitate them when severed.

This is just an example, but one that can be employed against any enemy that you come up against. It is up to you to decide if the versatility of approaches is a worthy reward for the cost of lower overall base stats.
